They are inconsistent period. When you think you know them they will disappoint. You NEVER know which team will show up on a given night.
I'm a raps fan but it gets annoying when you try to believe they are expected to beat certain teams and they can't but they can almost beat LA in LA.

I see Miami surpassing Toronto and Charlotte. if they dont, that will be sad. They are all tied, 17 games behind, and Miami has the easiest remaining schedule probably in the league, 6 game homestand started last night.. They should finish 10+ games over .500 in their remaining games.. But knowing them, they wont.

Raptors heading for another loss. Heat and Bobcats won tonight so Raps are now in the 8th spot 2 games behind both Charlotte and Miami..
Like I said, if the Heat play like they can, they should finish 5th or 6th. They have the easiest schedule, won their last 3 pretty convincingly, 3 games coming up which are tough but after that again, easy schedule.

Raptors are lucky that a team like Bulls has been struggling for a good period of time as well. Cause otherwise, they wouldn't even be in the 8th spot as we speak.
Then again, what is the point of making the playoffs whether we finish 8th, 7th, or 6th spot? Orlando and Cleveland will give us no chance to advance further while Atlanta might possess some danger, I still see Raps lose to them in 6 games.

Boston was taken to 7 games last year, and if Rondo got suspended like he should have, they would've lost.. They just got slapped by memphis bad. We played them amazing this season. They aren't the same team anymore, you're a fool if you think they have the slightest chance of making it out of the 2nd round.. I would pick charlotte to upset them as well. And Wade in the playoffs is a beast, single handedly he can win 2 games vs boston who has absolutely no one to guard him.
Atlanta on the other hand, we beat them 3 out of 4 times this season, twice by 15+ points, and once without JO and Wright.

Did you think Chicago could take Boston to 7 games? No. Did you think Memphis could go up by 20 at halftime vs Boston? No. Boston sucks now, who cares if theyre better coached, theyre old, their bench is weak, wade will drop 35 a game.
Keep laughing though, watch the game when Raps come to Miami soon, you can look up in the rafters and see a banner you will never see at the ACC. :-)

I never said he was better.. He is definitely top 3 in the league with those guys, and probably at number 3. His best season is better than Kobes best season, same with his career averages. Lebron is probably putting up the best stats out of any of those two, but dude choked in the finals, but you fail to mention that. Your undeniable hate for D wade is humorous. After watching this team for the past couple of weeks I have become extremely frustrated and dismayed but what I've seen.
The bottom line is the makeup of this team is flawed. There are not enough players who 'bring it' every night and care enough to raise their level of play to another level. The compete level and will to win is not high enough on this squad.
I feel for Chris Bosh because he's given it this year and you can see he wants to win desperately. But he's 1 guy and he's a power foward who is a ball handler. There is only so much he can do on his own.
The problem is the players who are supposed to be the Raptors 2nd and 3rd best players (Turkoglu and Bargnani) have been vastly disappointing. Especially the former.
Turk has been an absolute BUST in his time here this season. I would have figured he'd be much more impactful and taken this team to another level based on his play the past couple of seasons for Orlando (especially his performance in last season's playoffs) but he has been a major disappointment. I don't know if he's been injured, tired, distracted by off-court issues or a combination of all 3 but the bottom line is he hasn't gotten the job done and when you're being paid just over $55 million over 5 years to be a major part of a team and you play the way he's played its unacceptable. The thing which concerns me the most is he looks to have a very lackidasical/nonchalant attitude as if he doesn't care.
Bargnani was showing great signs of improvement this season both in terms of being a guy who can produce anywhere between 16-20 pts a night on a consistent basis AND his defence was improving with him snagging more rebounds and getting a lot more blocks and altering shots. He was also going to the net more rather than just putting up 3 pointers. Lately his game has regressed YET AGAIN and he is shying away from attacking the rim, putting up too many outside shots and defensively he's been HORRID lately. He is a guy with all of the talent to be an excellent player in this league but you just can't help but think that his problem is between the ears and whether or not he'll ever get it to where he is a consistent force is becoming less and less likely as each day goes by. He shows you flashes but then regresses again. That's not good enough!
The thing that bothers me most is that this team doesn't suck! It has some talent and based on the personnel up and down the lineup there is no reason why this team shouldn't be amongst the top 5 or 6 in the East. The problem is the team is soft and they frequently get outworked by teams which want it more. That's unacceptable. Reggie Evans was supposed to come in and be more impactful but he hasn't done much at all.
It sucks and I just hope that this recent slide doesn't prompt Bosh to want to leave. They better make the playoffs and they better finish higher than 8th and they better at least take at team to 7 games in the first round otherwise I really could see Bosh leaving and if he does this team is DONE!

I agree, the Raps had a disappointing start to the season, then they started winning and had a solid grip on 5th place, now it seems like they'll either miss the playoffs or sneak into the 8th spot. Even if they do make the playoffs they'll like get swept by Lebron, it's a shame.

Thats why I said from the beginning I cant say Bargnani is improving until you look at the whole season because he is known to have some progress and then go back. People hated on me when I said that beacuse they seem proud and didnt want to accept reality. Even still, the progress in production didnt really much improve.
Nobody really wants to hear if he is working hard to be a center. The point is the production on both ends. Defensively and Offensively. Thats the only thing that matters because thats the thing that win games.
I still feel sorry for him because we cant figured out how to use him effectively. I really think we fuked up his growth by pushing him to play as a center. Him and Bosh just doesnt work well together ... he can find a groove with bosh that can last more than a few games..... I really think if bosh leaves then he would be able to shine or if he moves to a different team...

Bargnani would be ok if we had a more dominant player at the wing position (which is supposed to be what Turkoglu was going to provide).
But since we don't have a guy who can really create his own shot or slash and get to the rim consistently we really don't have much of an inside game in the starting lineup.
Bargnani is probably more of a power forward than a centre but as you said, Bosh is there in that position. He could play a bit more on the perimeter as he currently does if we had that kind of wing player (like i just said) but we don't so it really hurts us.
Colangelo desperately needs to keep Bosh this summer and he NEEDS to sign a guy who is dominant to play at the 2 position who can both score and play defence. Even if MLSE needs to dip into the luxury tax they'll need to do it if they're serious about winning.
